Sharon Page

I’m so happy to be featuring my good friend and fellow Kensington author Sharon Page on the blog today.  Sharon writes really good, really steamy paranormal and historical romance.  She’s won numerous awards for both sensual historical and erotic romance, and she’s a USA Today bestseller.  And if you love sexy vampires, Sharon is the gal for you!  She has a new book out called Blood Curse, and it sounds awesome.

Here’s the blurb:

Lady Ophelia Black lives a cursed life. Unable to touch a person without killing them, she has never felt a lover’s caress or a tender kiss. After years of hiding, she finally escapes only to be kidnapped and held prisoner by the enigmatic Mr. Ravenhunt…

Once the Marquis of Ravenhunt, Raven is now a vampire. With his sister’s life in peril unless he can capture Ophelia’s mysterious power, he embarks on a course of sensual seduction to achieve his goal. Yet as he enjoys watching Ophelia slowly succumb to the blissful sensations of carnal pleasure, Raven knows that every time he touches her his own demise grows ever closer…

And here’s Sharon’s take on the book:

Setting an erotic romance series—with vampires—in Regency England has been a lot of fun. I’ve loved writing the lush settings and elegantly sensual gentlemen! Blood Curse is a special book for me, as I wanted to explore a heroine who has been isolated by a curse that she can’t control. I desperately wanted to have Ophelia get her happily ever after. And Raven is a deeply tortured hero.

Blood Curse

Nothing like a tortured, sexy romance hero, IMHO!  Here’s a short and tantalizing excerpt from Blood Curse:

“Why do you want my power, Ravenhunt? Is it because you are an assassin?”

“I don’t want to use it, love. It is my plan to destroy the power so no one can use it. Only I can do that, and I have to take it from you to do it.”

Ophelia took another sip of the wine. It was dry and tart and delectable. His words did make sense. She could be free of the power. And it would never hurt anyone else.

He lifted her hand to his lips as she drank a little more of the tempting wine. He brushed her fingers with a gentle kiss, then turned her hand and gave a long, lingering kiss in her palm.

Tendrils of smoke rose, and she snatched her hand back.

Blood Curse is available on Amazon, B & N, BAM, and all other book retailers.  For more information and a longer excerpt, check out Sharon’s website.

For my readers today, Sharon is giving away two books!  One winner will receive Blood Curse, and the other will receive the previous book in her series, Blood Fire.  Both books are beautiful, trade paperback editions.  To win, just tell us about your favorite paranormal heroes and books–do vamps turn your crank, or how about some angels and shapeshifters?

  1. Welcome Sharon!!!! Blood Curse sounds delightful!!! Especially when I love angels and demon gods. Symphony of Light and Winter by Renea Mason is a great semi-vamp book I adore! Cyril the hero is some kind of wizard vampire, though he hates being called a vampire when he is clearly not a vampire, so he says. But he drinks blood to rejuvenate himself every so often. He’s hot, controlled and out of this world sexy, rich and powerful! Plus he’s an architecture and he’s smart, a scientist. He created a bevy of hot immortal brothers! Dr. Frankenstein he is! Yea, he’s pretty much a whole lot of packages. 🙂

I’m not picky 🙂 I think one of my fav series is the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs b/c she includes pretty much all the major sup players: vampires, shifters, and witches. 4. I like my paranormal heroes any way I can take ’em, but I do love to see how an author develops a shifter’s senses and actions depending on their animal alter ego.

  5. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters series. I have multiple favorite characters in her novels. Hard to pick just one. The two who I love the most are Zarek and Vane. Zarek because though he has the tortured soul downpat, there is just enough evil in him to make him uber sexy. Vane is just a dang sexy wolf who happens to fall for a plus size woman. Yum!!! Lol

  6. I never thought that I would enjoy reading books about Vampires. However, I have to say that I picked up a book at the library one day which caught my attention. It was called “My Lord Vampire” by Alexandra Ivy. I read the back cover, and decided to give it a go. I’m so glad that I did, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to find the other two books in this series. I recommend this series to everybody. 🙂
