Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I’m thankful today for so many things – my family and friends, my readers and my pals in the writing community, and the fact that I live in a wonderful country where I can read whatever I want and write whatever I want. I am very fortunate to live in a free country, and I’m especially grateful to the men and women in the military who protect that freedom.
I hope for all of you that your Thanksgiving is a peaceful and happy day with the people you love, full of laughter, joy, and great food.
Just a side note – you probably recognize the picture at the top of this post – it’s Norman Rockwell’s Freedom From Want. Here’s an interesting tidbit for you. When he was just a lad, my uncle was a neighbor of Rockwell’s, and he posed for some of his famous neighbor’s paintings. Here’s my Uncle Bill in another iconic painting, No Swimming.
Uncle Bill is the kid on the right. Cool, eh?
Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone!
