Giveaway on my facebook page!

Sex and The Single Earl

Remember this? It’s the second book in my first series and it’s now almost impossible to find in print. Digital, yes–it’s available in formats like Kindle and Nook, but print? I can’t even find any additional copies!

Sex and the Single Earl was one of my favorite books to write, partly because the entire story is set in Bath. It also won the prestigious Maggie Medallion for Best Historical Romance, so I’m very proud about that. Plus, you know–sexy earls.

I’m giving away a rare print copy today on my facebook page. If you haven’t already entered the contest, why don’t you pop on over and leave a comment? And if you like to read in digital, Sex and the Single Earl is currently on sale for only $4.30 on Kindle.

Happy reading!

Guest Author: Sophia Knightly & Giveaway!

I’m very pleased to have best-selling contemporary romance author Sophia Knightly featured on the blog today.  Some readers may know her as Victoria Marquez, but regardless of pen names Sophia is a fabulous writer who writes sexy, very fun books.  And lucky for us, she’s putting out some truly beautiful digital editions of the books in her Tropical Heat Series.

The first book in the series is Wild for You, which received 4 stars from RT Book Reviews.

Awesome cover, right?  Here’s the blurb for Wild for You:

To Love, Honor, and Protect

Detective Clay Blackthorne has his hands full when he promises to safeguard an old college pal’s sister without letting her know what he’s up to. He never imagines that lively Marisol Calderon will knock his socks off and put a ring on his finger—and all at his suggestion! Their marriage of convenience is meant to protect her and Clay doesn’t plan on being hitched for long to the tempting beauty. But the honeymoon sure feels real to him…

Sassy Marisol is used to doing whatever she wants—and right now her plan is to shake up the hot detective’s hard-edged demeanor. But the fun turns to danger when a mystery stalker bent on marrying her marks her as his prey. Temporarily becoming Clay’s wife seems like a practical way to thwart the stalker. But as passion ignites and Marisol falls for the tender heart buried beneath the tough detective’s chest, Clay’s true identity is revealed and she begins to wonder who—if anyone—she can trust…

I read this book just recently, and I can assure you it’s a very sexy and very entertaining book.  Marisol and Clay are both wonderful characters, and I enjoyed their story.

Sophia also has another book in the Tropical Heat series, entitled Sold on You.  This book received 4-1/2 stars and a coveted Top Pick from RT Book Reviews, and it was also a finalist in the prestigious Maggie Awards.

Here’s the blurb for Sold on You:

Just Say Yes!

Confirmed bachelor Dr. Marcos Calderon is in hot water. He needs to come up with a fake fiancée fast or he’ll disappoint his beloved grandma who’s arriving on the next flight to meet her. Proper social worker Gabriela Morales should fit the bill—but tonight, in that sexy, slit-to-there red evening gown, she looks anything but proper.

Gabriela only volunteered for the hospital’s charity bachelorette auction to benefit a cause dear to her heart. Now she’s reeling from the hot doctor’s bid of fifteen thousand dollars for a weekend date with her! She’s not sure what Dr. Handsome has in mind, but the smoldering look in his eyes is unmistakable…

What fun!  You can get the details on both books in the Tropical Heat Series and on Sophia’s upcoming release from Samhain Publishing, Grill Me Baby, on her website.

For my readers today, Sophia is giving away a copy of Sold on You.  Let’s keep up the heat, shall we?  If you could go on a tropical vacation with a sexy hero, where would you go?  What would be your favorite destination for hot days, sizzling nights, and lots of fun?  One person who comments will win a copy of Sold on You.

News flash!  Sophia has let me know that Wild for You is currently free at Amazon!

Guest Author: Margaret Mallory & Giveaway!

I’m very pleased to have a superbly talented author featured on my blog today.  She’s Margaret Mallory, and she writes award-winning historical romance.  And when I say award-winning, I mean it!

Margaret burst onto the historical romance writing scene in 2009, with her medieval series, All The King’s Men.  The first book in that series, Knight of Desire, won the Beacon Contest for best historical, and finaled in the Readers’ Crown and Golden Quill contests.  Her second book, Knight of Pleasure, won the Maggie Award and the Beacon, and finaled in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA contest.  And her third book, Knight of Passion, won three contests and finaled in seven more.  Along the way, she’s picked up stellar reviews, including Top Picks from sites like RT Book Reviews, Fresh Fiction, and The Season.

You get the picture, eh?

Margaret has a new series out, called The Return of the Highlanders:

Four fearless warriors return to the Highlands to claim their lands and legacies. But all their trials on the battlefield can’t prepare them for their greatest challenge yet: winning the hearts of four willful Scottish beauties.

Sounds great, doesn’t it?  The first book is The Guardian, released by Grand Central Publishing in May, 2011.

Well, he looks pretty grand, doesn’t he?  And the reviews for this book were grand, too.  It got a Top Pick from The Season, who said this about The Guardian:

“This extraordinary medieval novel absolutely encompasses the 3 Cs: clans, chieftains and castles in a perfect indulgence for readers wanting a hint of paranormal with the intoxicating combination of fearless warriors, loyal family, and the unmistakable pull of the Scottish Highlands.”

You can find all the details on Margaret’s website, including more reviews, buy links, and an excerpt.

Margaret has a new book out in this series, called The Sinner.

Oh, boy.  I can think of some sinning I’d like to do with that guy!  Here’s the blurb:

IRRESISTIBLE DESIRE

Alex MacDonald is known for his skill as a warrior, his prowess with women, and his vow to never take a wife. But now his chieftain has asked him to make the ultimate sacrifice: wed Glynis MacNeil, a lass famed throughout the Highlands for her exquisite beauty—and defiant ways.

Familiar with heartbreak, Glynis refuses to fall for another handsome scoundrel. Yet when Alex’s past sins force an unlikely union, Glynis gives in to temptation and becomes his wife. Will their newfound passion be strong enough to fight the enemy that threatens their home, their clan, and their very lives?

Sounds like a great combination of adventure and romance, doesn’t it?  Visit Margaret’s website for all the details on The Sinner, including an excerpt.  Trust me – you won’t regret it!

For my readers today, Margaret is graciously giving away a copy of The Guardian.  Let’s stick with the Highlands – more specifically, men from the Highlands!  Who’s your favorite guy in a kilt?  Sean Connery, Mel Gibson, or is there a fictional Highlander who you adore?  Just tell me for a chance to win a copy of The Guardian.
