Oh my God! This is so exciting! Wahoo! I will be here bright and early. It’s sooo worth staying home for tonight so I can be “first in line.” 😉
Thank you so much!
Loved running around with all the sparklers each year and still do. Writing names and little messages in the air is just and exciting thing 🙂
When I was a kid, we always stayed in our pj’s and watched the Rose Parade. It was also a snack kind of day, no big meals.
We always stayed up and watched it on TV with special food 🙂
this year we stayed home and had 4 grandbabies stay so their moms and dads could start the year rested. love these hops lots of reading to do this year
Wow, what can I say, this has been a roller coaster year for me. If it were not for my “Friends” who write and keep me sane I probably would have lost my mind.
I have been having a serries of medical issues I thought were all unrelated, My GP told me it was all part of getting older (I was 42 at the time). My bloodwork and tests all came back “normal”, I lost partial vision in Feb and that was the cake topper. New Doctor new Dx I have MS and Im so grateful to been able to find a doctor who cares about me and helps me find solutions instead of pills.
I’m going to be a lot healthier and happier in 2013 and continue my friendship with my “Friends” the authors who have been with me thick and thin. Thank you for being there for me and providing me with an escape from a scary year. Much Love!!
My birthday is on December 31st, so I have never really thought about the day as being New Years, just my birthday. My parents have always tried to make it special for my twin sister and I, because it is not a great day for a birthday. They always took us out to dinner (which they still do), and treat us like the entire day was ours. It’s still hard having that day as a birthday, but I have ALMOST accepted that 😉
When we were small there were 6 of us we had our own party. Nothing fancy just juice snacks we tried to stay up till midnight but some of us didn’t..Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year! Our family didn’t do New Years Eve when I was a kid, my husband and I stay up super late with the kids eating snacks, playing UNO, and just having a good time making memories.
We always stayed up and ate junk food than ran outside to hoop & holler

My favorite memory is getting to stay up late on New Years Eve – at midnight we would go out on the front porch and bang the bottom of pots and pans with wooden spoons!

Awesome blog hop! Happy New Year.
Never really did much on New Years Eve and this year was no different. Little drinking and some movies. I had to work early on New Years day lol
This New Year, other than getting sick the day before and not wanting to go out, I went over to my “stand by boyfriend” house. I really think I need to get a real one, one of these days
We didn’t really do anything until we were older and then it was just snacks and watching movies with friends

I can’t ever remember doing anything on New Years. Maybe my parents did and I just don’t remember.
