HIS MISTLETOE BRIDE Now in Stores!!!

Woot!!  My new Regency-set historical romance from Kensington Publishing is now in stores.

BLAME IT ON THE MISTLETOE…

When Major Lucas Stanton inherited his earldom, he never dreamed his property would include the previous earl’s granddaughter. Phoebe Linville is a sparkling American beauty, yes, but with a talent for getting into trouble. Witness the compromising position that forced them into wedlock. Whisked away to Mistletoe Manor, his country estate, it isn’t long before she is challenging his rules—and surprising him in and out of bed…

Phoebe has no intention of bowing to Lucas’s stubbornness even though he offers all that she wants. His kisses and unexpected warmth are enticing, but Phoebe is determined to show the Earl of Merritt what real love is all about. And if that takes twelve nights of delicious seduction by a roaring fire, she’s more than willing to reveal her gifts very slowly…

To celebrate the release of my new book I’ll be giving away my back list–that’s a copy of Mastering The Marquess, Sex And The Single Earl, An Invitation To Sin, and My Favorite Countess.

As you can probably tell by the title, His Mistletoe Bride is a Christmas book.  But the winter holiday season has lots of fun festivities, spanning religions and cultures.  For a chance to win one of the books on my back list, just tell me your favorite thing about the holiday season–whichever holiday you celebrate!  Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, Twelfth Night, New Year’s, or the Winter Solstice – let’s hear all about it.

And for more info on His Mistletoe Bride, stop by my books page to read an excerpt and to find the buy links.

Happy Reading!!!!

  2. I love New Year because we have this family tradition wherein we jump when the clock strikes 12 MN, it is believed that we’ll grow taller! Still waiting though since I’ve been jumping ever since I was 15 and still stuck to 5″2′. 😀

  3. Yay for release day!!!! Congrats!
I hate to say but I have a hard time settling on just ONE season/holiday. I mean I love the fall with all the fruit trees and the leaves falling and cold nights and some what pleasant days and Halloween dressing the house up; but then you have winter and everyone is happy and its snow and Christmas and gifts and great food but then along comes Spring with Easter and the gorgeous flowers and baby animals. I guess summer is the one time of year I least like because to be honest I HATE the heat and trying to sleep in hot weather with no ac.
Then when it IS cold and you snuggle up with your favourite someone in bed staying toasty warm and reading a really good book that takes you away to somewhere different, maybe another time or place or frame of mind, then who cares which of the seasons it is as long as the book is great!!!!

  4. Congrat on the new release, will be reading it in November to get me in the holiday spirit. I’m weird like that, I like to reserve my holiday books for that occasion.
So yes Christmas is my fave. Everyone just seems “Merry” and all the good food it comes with. I also decorate every nook in my house.

  5. I love Christmas because it has so many fond memories, so much joy in the present and so much to look forward to in the future. Not to mention it gave us salvation in the form of a sweet baby Jesus.

  6. I think my favorite is Christmas. I love putting up the tree and decorating my house. I love the look of wonder on my 5 year olds face. It is also time to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

  7. I say run to get this enchanting story. Got an ARC of it and had trouble putting it down until I was done. Our favorite part of Christmas is going to the tree farm and picking out a tree. It always ends up being a major adventure to find the tree that is just right.

    • Thank you SO much, Pam! I’m really happy you enjoyed the book. My family always used to go the real tree route, but in the last few years we’ve given in to the convenience of artificial. What can I say – we’re wimps!

  8. The little ones. There is so much to love about the holiday season. But I love best watching the little ones enjoy the lights, horse drawn sleigh rides, opening the gifts, looking at the trees….They can make a person feel young. haha

  9. I love singing at Midnight Mass on Christmas. There is a certain calm that night, and singing Silent Night in the middle of the night is cool. Even driving home in the still dark has a wonderful quality.

  10. Even though it is exhausting for me, I love baking and making fudge for my boy’s holiday parties at school and for all of my friends.
One of my favorite things to do is go to the pumpkin patches and pick out which ones I want to use for baking and canning.

  12. My favorite holiday tradition is two fold…Before my dad passed away he made a Christmas village that i display every year. My dad lovingly handpainted each piece, contemplated where each snow drift or patch of snow would have accumalated, on tree or house. Our second tradition involves visiting with my aunt for a quirky Christmas party. She is the last of our family on my dads side of the family so it is a never miss party! Each year is a different theme, a different way
    of giving gifts…..

  13. I always get nostalgic for Christmas after Thanksgiving. Hearing the Christmas tunes on the radio, decorations out, traditional English food (my mother is from England), colors, smell, watching A Child’s Christmas in Wales, and ending the holiday season with plum pudding.

  20. I love all the decorations during the Christmas season. My favorite memories are of my sister and I jumping in the car Christmas night and driving all over the neighborhood looking at all the lights and decorations.

    • Barbara, we still do that! We do it on Christmas Eve. There are some streets in our town that decorate together, and on Christmas Eve they stand outside in costumes and hand out candy and play carols. Really fun!

Besides seeing family, which is always my favorite thing during any holiday, I’m going to have to say FOOD!! I love all the food that is made. Anything from A to Z is made, our table is always over-filled with all kinds of yummy’s! No matter what holiday it is, my family just busts out their pots, pans, grills, ovens are turned on….etc….we get into a cooking frenzy!

P.S. ~ please do not enter my name in giveaway, already have books, lucky me!

  23. I am new to your books and would love to read more of them. I love Christmas, family, friends, etc. but I love a great excuse to online shop. Every November I fire up the iPad and shop to my hearts content. I get all the fun waiting for FedEx and UPS. So shallow, but what can I say. 🙂

  24. Hi Vanessa –

In my family we have two traditions that have been carried down through time and I love them both!

The first is the making of sprintz cookies – you know the kind made with a cookie press! I have # PRESSES! It’s a tradition in our family for a new bride to receive one as a gift so I have that one plus my grandmother and mother’s were passed down to me and are treasured!

My other favorite tradition is reading Christmas books and Christmas week the two come together as the family sits in front of the fireplace with the warmth filling the room listening to the story and eating sprintz cookies of course.!

Now it’s even better because there are grandchildren to read to and to teach to make those special treats baked with love and helping to pass on the Christmas spirit.
