Release Day for Confessions of a Royal Bridegroom!!

Confessions of A Ro#14B6A95

I’m thrilled that Confessions of a Royal Bridegroom, book two my Renegade Royals series, is now in stores and on virtual bookshelves.  Confessions was a true labor of love for me and so much fun to write.  I call it my Captain Jack Sparrow meets Mary Poppins book!  Here’s the blurb:

Some men are born into scandal. Others pursue it with a passion. Griffin Steele, secret son of the Duke of Cumberland, is guilty on both counts. Yet somehow London’s most notorious scoundrel has been saddled with an abandoned baby boy—and with the unflappable, intriguing spinster summoned to nurse him…

Justine Brightmore may be a viscount’s niece, but she’s also a spy’s daughter, determined to safeguard the infant when his suspected royal parentage makes him a target. Yet how to protect herself from the rakish Griffin? Marriage might shield her reputation, but it can only imperil her heart, especially with a groom intent on delicious seduction…

Confessions is available at Amazon, B & N, Apple, Kobo, The Book Depository, and in Walmart and other retailers.

I’ve got a lot going on today to celebrate the release, including a blog tour stop at (un)Conventional Bookviews with an exclusive excerpt from the book and a giveaway of the first Renegade Royals book, Secrets for Seducing a Royal Bodyguard.  You can join me by clicking this link.

AND I’m also celebrating tonight by hosting a party on facebook from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, EST.  You can join me right here on my special events page.  I’ll be joined by fabulous guests like Valerie Bowman and Kate Noble, who will be chatting with readers and giving away books and prizes.  I’ll also be giving out some great prizes, so you definitely want to put on your party hat and stop on by!

See you around the blogosphere!

We Have A Winner!!

Waiting on You

The winner of Kristan Higgins’ new book is Sheryl.  Congrats!!  I’ll be in touch.  Kristan’s book will be in stores this week (I’ve already spotted a few early copies), so be sure to check it out.  It’s sure to be a great read, and a portion of Kristan’s early sales will go to the Fisher House Foundation, which supports military families.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Winners, Pre-Orders, and a Giveaway!!

Confessions of A Ro#14B6A95

The winner of the ARC of Confessions of a Royal Bridegroom is Teresa Kleeman.  Congrats, and I’ll be in touch!

Confessions is currently available for pre-order (it comes out April 1), and is listed at a really great price on Amazon–only $5.21!  Included as a special bonus in Confessions, in both the print and digital editions, is Lost in a Royal Kiss, the novella which kicked off my new series.  Pretty good deal, eh?  Blurb, excerpt, and buy links for Confessions are listed on the Book Page.

I wanted to let you know about another book that’s currently up for pre-order.  Kristan Higgins’ next book in her fabulous Blue Heron Series it out on March 25th.  I’ll be buying Waiting On You because I know it will be a wonderful read, but there’s another reason to pre-order or buy the book during its first week in stores.  As was true with Kristan’s last two releases, she’ll be donating a portion of first week  sales and preorders to Fisher House Foundation, which provides housing for military families so they can be together when a service member or veteran is in the hospital.  Even better, this time around Kristan’s publisher is matching the donations!

Waiting on You

Fisher House is a wonderful charity, and this is a great cause to support.  I would encourage my readers to visit their website, and also hop on over to Amazon, B & N, or IndieBound to pre-order Kristan’s new book!

And to get the ball rolling, I’ll be giving away a copy of Waiting on You to one lucky reader.  Just tell me which causes and/or charities you like to support for a chance to win Kristan’s latest.  I’ll pick the winner on Sunday night.

Waiting on You

Is your first love worth a second chance…?

Colleen O’Rourke is in love with love…just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis and staying more or less happily single. See, ten years ago, Lucas Campbell broke her heart…an experience Colleen doesn’t want to have again, thanks. Since then, she’s been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting and playing matchmaker to her friends.

But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town, handsome as ever and still the only man who’s ever been able to crack her defenses. Seems like maybe they’ve got some unfinished business waiting for them—but to find out, Colleen has to let her guard down, or risk losing a second chance with the only man she’s ever loved.

Guest Author: Katharine Ashe & Giveaway!!

MY LADY, MY LORD thumbnail

The super-talented historical romance author Katharine Ashe has a brand new book out, and it looks awesome.  Katharine is very kindly sharing an exclusive excerpt with us today.  Here’s a snippet from My Lady, My Lord.

“Pelley is in there.”

Corinna halted her flight and looked over her shoulder. Ian stood in partial shadow, his long legs and handsome face slanted with torchlight.

“He is?” she said.

He folded his arms over his chest. “I thought that might stop you.”

“Are you telling the truth?”

“I never lie.”

She bit her lower lip. “I didn’t consider the possibility of his presence here.”

He frowned, his gaze slipping along her bodice to her hips. “Apparently.”

“Don’t look at me with such disapproval,” she snapped. “Your doxies wear much less than this.”

How on earth had she gotten herself into this? What had she been thinking? He was right: this was not she. She was trying to be something she wasn’t and making a fool of herself. And now Lord Pelley would see her in this scandalous gown, and any last hope she might still have of convincing him she was the serious woman to whom he should sell his publishing company would be lost.

“I don’t disapprove,” Ian said. “Quite the contrary. I’m merely curious as to your motive.”

The words that were so easy to practice alone in her dressing chamber now clogged her throat. His eyes sharpened. For a moment that seemed like forever, neither of them spoke.

He strode forward and grasped her arm. Raindrops pattered on the shoulders of his dark coat and her lashes.

“I’m taking you home.”

She resisted. “What if I don’t want you to?”

“Oh,” he said in a low rumble. “You want me to.”

Vanessa, here.  Man, I can’t wait to read this book!  I have it all loaded up on my e-reader, and as soon as I turn in my next manuscript I’m going to reward myself with My Lady, My Lord.  Here’s the blurb, if you need any more convincing (which I’m sure you don’t!):

The Bluestocking

Lady Corinna Mowbray has three passions: excellent books, intelligent conversation, and disdaining the libertine Earl of Chance.

The Rake

Lord Ian Chance has three pleasures: beautiful women, fast horses, and tormenting high-and-mighty Corinna Mowbray.

Neighbors for years, they’ve been at each other’s throats since they can remember. But when a twist of fate forces them to trade lives, how long will it be before they discover they cannot live without each other?

Sounds awesome, doesn’t it?  You can find all the buy links to My Lady, My Lord on Katharine’s website.  And to celebrate the release of the Katharine’s book, I’m giving away an ARC of my upcoming release, Confessions of a Royal Bridegroom.  Let’s talk romance tropes – do you like the rake and the bluestocking scenario?  I sure do, but tell me what you think for a chance to win an ARC of my next book.

Some wonderful books for your e-reader!

MY LADY, MY LORD thumbnail

I wanted to let my readers know about two just released books I’m really excited about.  The first is My Lady, My Lord, by Katharine Ashe.  Many of you are already familiar with Katherine’s fabulous and lyrical historical romances, and she’s one of my favorite authors.  I’ve got this book teed up and ready to go on my iPad as we speak!  Here’s the book blurb:

The Bluestocking
Lady Corinna Mowbray has three passions: excellent books, intelligent conversation, and disdaining the libertine Earl of Chance.

The Rake
Lord Ian Chance has three pleasures: beautiful women, fast horses, and tormenting high-and-mighty Corinna Mowbray.

Neighbors for years, they’ve been at each other’s throats since they can remember. But when a twist of fate forces them to trade lives, how long will it be before they discover they cannot live without each other?

Sounds awesome, doesn’t it?  My Lady, My Lord is available on Kindle and Nook, and you can also read an excerpt on Katharine’s website and check out where else the book is sold.

The other book is by debut author Beth Hyland.  Beth has just published a New Adult Romance called Fall Into Forever, and in less than a week it’s cracked the bestseller lists at Amazon and B & N.

Fall into Forever

Here’s the blurb:

A girl with a past she can’t remember. A guy with a past he can’t forget.

Ivy McAllister had it all. Perfect boyfriend. Perfect life. Perfect future. Or so they tell her. Because one night, on a dark country road, a fiery crash changed everything…and Ivy can’t remember what happened.

Now, two years later, at a new college far from home, she tries to regain control of her life, but her plans don’t include a tattooed, motorcycle-riding, indie music-obsessed guy with his own sorority girl fan club.

Jon Priestly is the hottest guy at Pacific State University. Just ask his groupies. But with a dark past he must keep hidden, he shuts himself off emotionally and trusts no one. That is…until he meets a broken girl with haunting green eyes and secrets of her own.

Ivy shouldn’t be attracted to Jon. They’re wrong for each other in every possible way. Yet as they spend time together, something about him–everything about him–feels so right.

But when threats from her past make her question what little she does remember, Ivy must decide whether to run again or trust the one person she can’t live without.

And what I really like about this book is that it’s a standalone novel – unlike many New Adult stories, Fall into Forever does NOT have a cliffhanger ending.  It’s available on Amazon and B & N for only 99 cents for a limited time, so you want to hop on that.

What are you waiting for – get reading!!

Confessions of a Royal Bridegroom!

Confessions of A Ro#14B6A95

The next book in my Renegade Royals series will be out on April 1, and it features my favorite hero–Griffin Steele, reprobate, rake, and all around sexy guy.  Here’s a snippet from the first meet with Justine Brightmore, my heroine, to whet your appetite:

Griffin lounged in his chair, stretching his legs in front of him.  To the casual observer, he must surely have looked relaxed to the point of falling asleep.  If only that were true.  Frustration jabbed at his nerves and buzzed in his brain, and it took all his willpower to refrain from stalking about the room and growling his frustration at Dominic for refusing to help in any meaningful way.

Like taking the blasted baby off his hands.

He had to admit that some of his bad temper resulted from a restless night.  Not that Griffin needed much sleep, but when he did, he tended to sleep hard and well.  Not so with a colicky baby in the house who wailed his poor little head off for hours.  Add in Rose clomping back and forth between the kitchen and her bedroom and no one in the house had slept more than a wink.  Griffin would happily stay awake all night if a beautiful, naked woman and a good bottle of cognac kept him company, but such had not been the case.

Beneath the fatigue and frustration ran another note, one that had more to do with the prim little tabby sitting across from him, sipping her tea with genteel grace.  A heightened awareness of her every move thrummed through his veins in defiance of all rational understanding.  Griffin did not have a spinster fetish, nor did he care for innocent and virginal maidens.  Justine Brightmore was both, and that unfortunate combination was exacerbated by the fact that she clearly disapproved of him as he thoroughly as he did her.

You can read a longer excerpt from Confessions of a Royal Bridegroom on my Books Page.  And stay turned for more snippets and ARC giveaways during the month of March!
